karoin still didn't get it all too well but she was excited to hear about her teachers books and what might be in them, looking over to him now seeing what would happen.

Ragnarok leaned back and waved towards Kimura`s books. "i believe it would only be fair if someone else had a chance. Plus im gonna be practicing, i can see you from the front and over your shoulder, it is actually quite fun." Ragnarok grinned. He wanted to mess around a bit. And he wanted to see what would happen if he extended through someone...

Kimura nodded as he told him to go ahead. Looking down at his book, he opened it, eager to find out more about himself. Looking at the cover page, he saw a unique picture. He didn't recognize it, but it had a similar form to the mark on his left eye.



Turning the page afterwords, was the title page. It read, "Guardian" in large bold letters, and under it was in italics "The Beings of Providence."

Turning the page once more, Kimura saw the beginning of the actual writings. The first chapter was titled "Creation". He began to read from the first line.

"Before their existance in the mortal world, Guardians were originally Angel Protectorates of Heaven. They existed alongside the other angels of heaven, the kindred spirits, and god himself. It is unrecorded of the exect event to which the angel protectorates were cast off from heaven, but today they still exist. However, in a much different form. It has been reported that these angels are now Guardians, having been cast out from Heaven, they became mortal angels to live for hundreds of years. Their purpose is to find a single entity to protect. As the protectorates, they give their life to the final breath in order to allow the designated entity to survive. The last protectorate mortal guardian was seen three hundred years ago before he was killed. There have been no reports since. The only recording of these angels abilities are with the natural flow of energy. They are said to use a special ability called Alchemy, in which they reconstruct reality to fit their needs. This is all that is known as of today." Kimura finished and looked at the book. He was, to put it basically, a guardian angel cast from the heavens to become a protectorate of earth. And..coincidentally he used Alchemy. He waited for Ragnarok to comment.

Kaorin had a surprised look on her face knowing none of that about her teacher. he was a guardian..

Ragnarok smirked and sighed. "well my friend, it looks like in a sense we are related." Ragnarok focused his light energy and extended his self forward, going through Kimura, just to see what would happen. As his spirit went through Kimura he felt a feeling of knowing Kimura. It was like the two knew eachother in a pst life. Maybe there meeting wasn`t just a coincedence.

Kimura nodded to the comment and turned the page again. There was one more page of information, the rest of the book seemed to be completely blank. It was talking about how to seal a contract in order to become a guardian. He started to read.

"There is one piece of information known about the Guardians, is that they have to perform a special contract in order to become a guardian for a entity. There are two known ways to perform the contract. One is more complex, however one is much simpler and fit for more people.

For the first option, in order to seal a contract with a entity, the body must be pure. The mark that seals a contract must be permanent. As to complete such a thing, the seal must be made by defiling the chastity of the entity wished to be protected. With a permanent mark made, there is no reversing the contract.

For the second option, a less permanent mark can be made. Through the willingness of both people, and a guarantee that the relationship will last until the death of either individual, the seal can be closed with a simple kiss. However, the kiss cannot be a simple peck on the cheek. The kiss must be locked in lips, and must last for one minute. Any amount of time lower will break the forming of the contract, and it will have to be redone.

These are the only two known options of the Guardians.
A few notes for reference,
- There are only male guardians.
- The gender of choice is female.
- There has never been a same-gender contract."

Kimura was very relieved Kaorin wouldn't understand any of that at all, and he started to become very nervous. He couldn't defile Kaorin. She was too young. She was too innocent. Too little. He'd be put in jail, and Ragnarok would kill him. He started to worry. The kiss would still be too much. A whole minute with a little girl.. he didn't know what to think. But he wanted to protect her. He wanted to fulfill his purpose. Kimura closed the book, and stared down at the cover.

Kaorin barely understood a word of all of the book..but she heard kiss and wondered what it would be for. something about contracts and entities, neither did she understand. she decided to stay quiet for a little bit waiting for them to continue.

Ragnarok sighed and scooted next to kimura and whispered in his ear. "you and i both know the "defiling" is too far...for now. The kissing...i still dont agree, but if it has to be done so be it." Ragnarok went back to his original seating position, waiting to see what kimura would do. He got ready to hold himself back.

Kimura was extremely surprised at what Ragnarok said. He couldn't believe he was actually going to let Kimura do that. It was wrong..Kimura looked over at him and nodded. "Just to tell you..this is only so I can protect her. Nothing more." He said that to reassure Ragnarok that he didn't want to.. well be a pedophile to be frank. Turning to Kaorin, he looked at her, and then reached over to pick her up. Setting Kaorin down in his lap and looking at her, he hesitated. This was wrong.. he wasn't sure if she should. The girl was only nine. He was getting confused with himself and his race. He looked over to Ragnarok one more time for reassurance. Kimura's expression boldy said "I don't know.."

kaorin wasnt sure what was going on but she blushed a little when her teacher picked her up and set her in his lap. she looked up at him and wondered what he was going to do, he looked a little worried about something "Mr.Kimura...?"

"you know what has to be done kimura...in order to do what you must you must do what you have to. its for...the right reason. i...i...trust you on this." Ragnarok stiffened, waiting for it to happen. Demon hands formed and started to slowly squeeze on the couch, but only he noticed. It was to help him stay calm, cool, and collected. He was about to commit an act against society, that were if he was human. But he was an angel, so it must be...

Kimura turned back to Kaorin. He hesitated one more time. Then he thought about what it would bring him. He could finally start fulfilling his purpose, and be a protector for the person he wanted to protect. He could act as a parent for Kaorin. Take her away from the small city paid apartment shes forced to live in. Give her a home and protection. Kimura leaned down and kissed Kaorin on her lips, looking down into her eyes and holding it. He knew how wrong it really was. But he would be happier because of it. And so would she.

kaorin blushed heavily feeling her teachers lips touch hers. looking back up at her teachers eyes she pushed into the kiss a little bit and hugged him. she waited for him to pull back keeping it however long he would have wanted to. she didnt understand it but she thought this was what he needed to be her guardian..just from what she heard from the book as he read it. it was clear for ragnarok watching her that she was enjoying it.

Ragnarok saw that kaorin was enjoying it. He gripped the hands tighter and tighter. He saw the mark on kimura seem to glow so the seal was finishing. When it seemed to die out the two stayed. Thats when Ragnarok gasped sharply and the couch was crushed by the hands. Wood splintered to the floor and fluffing flew into the air. The couch was shredded and crumpled. The noise it made was devastating...but it was done.

Kimura continued to hold the kiss. Even after the minute passed, he had forgotten to keep track of time. Kaorin's lips were soft, and, she seemed to be pushing into it as if she was enjoying it. That bothered Kimura slightly, but he pulled backed slowly and looked at her again. He smiled. "I'm your guardian now, Kaorin. I'm going to protect you from now on." He turned to Ragnarok for a second, but he had his mind set on his next decision. Turning back, he looked at Kaorin again. "You're going to live with me too. I'm taking you away from that city paid apartment. You need a better place to live than that, you deserve better." Kimura gave her a chance to respond, and Ragnarok a chance to comment.

kaorin was still blushing heavily when her teacher pulled back from the kiss she smiled when he told her he was going to protect her and let her live with him. in response, kaorin leaned up and kissed her teacher one more time. she was really happy to know she could get away from that apartment and be able to live in a big nice place with the person she liked most.

Ragnarok cleared his throat when kaorin kissed kimura again. "well now that THAT is over...shall we continue with a book of yours kimura?" Ragnarok gestured toward the alchemy book next to kimura. It had a circle on the cover with a wierd symbol on it. Ragnarok knew a little bit about alchemy, it had a great source in dark knowledge. So he waited for the next thing to happen.

Kimura was extremely surprised when Kaorin smiled and kissed him back. He didn't know she would have liked it that much. It was a bit clear to him now that his student liked him, but he was having a hard time believing she would just come back and kiss him, even if he did just kiss her. Hearing Ragnarok he could tell the man was probably doing everything he could from destroying more than his couch. Kimura pulled away from Kaorin's kiss after a few seconds and smiled to her, giving her a little hug and turning her around so she could read with him. He was okay with it, he guessed. As long as it was kept private, and it didn't go any further. Nodding to Ragnarok, he was grateful for him not to report Kimura for such a thing. Looking at the book, it had a circle on it, with a lot of strange markings. Opening the book, he started to look at the first page. That symbol was there again from the title page of the guardian book. It was clearer now that they were connected. Flipping the page again, the book was titled "Alchemy", nothing more. "Alright..let's get reading." Kimura stopped for a moment to recollect himself.

kaorin was still smiling as her teacher pulled from the kiss after a few seconds and then hugged her, turning her around and beginning to read the book. She couldnt have been happier still blushing heavily

kimura opened the book and took a deep breath. Kaorin still had no pants on but as time went by ragnarok became more and more comfortable with it. The two loved eachother. Kimura took a great risk because now ragnarok could turn him in whenever he wanted to, but he never was. He was happy that they had eachother, happy they could live a life of love together...ragnarok sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. He brought happiness sometimes to people, he was like a bridge to help them across, but he never made it. he waited for kimura to start reading.

Kimura began to read from the book of Alchemy over Kaorin's shoulder, his arms wrapped around her and holding her. The chapter began with explaining what alchemy was.

"Chapter one. Alchemy. Alchemy (錬金術 Renkinjutsu) is the ancient metaphysical science/mystical art of manipulating and altering matter by using natural energy. This act is known as "Transmutation" and its sequence is usually described as:

(1) Comprehension - Understanding the inherent structure and properties of the atomic or molecular makeup of a particular material to be transmuted, including the flow and balance of potential and kinetic energy within.

(2) Deconstruction - Using energy to break down the physical structure of the identified material into a more malleable state so as to be easily reshaped into a new form.

(3) Reconstruction - Continuing the flow of energy so as to reform the material into a new shape.

There are many paths by which alchemists can transmute the various substances of the world, with some alchemists being said to transmute by way of the Four Classical Elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) and some by way of the Three Essential Principles (salt, sulfur and mercury), but the basic tenet at the very foundation of all alchemy is that of Equivalent Exchange."

Kimura paused, and then continued.

"Chapter Two, Equivalent Exchange. The mystical practice of alchemy to create objects out of raw matter or turn one object into another is widely believed to be capable of anything - indeed alchemy is often viewed as magical or miraculous by those unfamiliar with the craft - but it is a science and as such is subject to certain laws and limitations, all of which fall under the concept of Equivalent Exchange: "In order to obtain or create something, something of equal value must be lost or destroyed."

In standard practice, Equivalent Exchange is separated into two parts:

The Law of Conservation of Mass which states that energy and matter can neither be created from nothing nor destroyed to the point of elemental nonexistence. In other words, to create an object weighing one kilogram, at least one kilogram of material is necessary and destroying an object weighing one kilogram would reduce it to a set of parts, the sum of which would weigh one kilogram.

The Law of Natural Providence which states that an object or material made of a particular substance or element can only be transmuted into another object with the same basic makeup and properties of that initial material. In other words, an object or material made mostly of water can only be transmuted into another object with the attributes of water.

Rebound

Since the alchemical forces being manipulated are not human in origin, but of the world as a whole, the consequences for attempting to bypass the Law of Equivalent Exchange in transmutation are not merely failure and cessation. When too much is attempted out of too little, what occurs is called a Rebound, in which the alchemical forces that are thrown out of balance on either side of the equation fluctuate wildly of their own accord in order to stabilize themselves - taking or giving more than was intended in often unpredictable and catastrophic ways such as accidental mutation, serious injury or death."

Kimura paused again. He didn't like the possible side effects, but these were the limits.

"Additionally, though no machines or equipment is needed to produce the energy necessary for transmutation, merely understanding the sequence of transmutation and the limitations of Equivalent Exchange is not enough. Just as the processes of "Comprehension, Deconstruction, Reconstruction" and "In order to gain, something of equal value must be lost in return" are cyclical concepts, the circle itself is the foundation of alchemy.

In order to begin an alchemical transmutation, a symbol called a Transmutation Circle is necessary. A Transmutation Circle can either be drawn on the spot when a transmutation is necessary (in chalk, pencil, ink, paint, blood or even traced in dirt) or permanently etched or inscribed beforehand, but without it, transmutation is generally impossible and all Transmutation Circles are made up of two parts:

The circle itself is a conduit which focuses and dictates the flow of power, tapping into the energies that already exist within the earth and matter. It represents the cyclical flow of the world's energies and phenomena and turns that power to manipulable ends.

Inside the circle are specific alchemical runes. These runes vary widely based on ancient alchemical studies, texts and experimentation, but correspond to a different form of energy, allowing the energy that is focused within the circle to be released in the way most conducive to the alchemist's desired effect. In basic alchemy, these runes will often take the form of triangles (which, when positioned differently, can represent the elements of either water, earth, fire or air), but will often be composed of varying polygons built from different triangles. For example: the hexagram is a commonly used base rune in Transmutation Circles because it creates eight multi-directional triangles when inscribed and can therefore represent all four classical elements at once. Other, more esoteric runes (including astrological symbols, symbolic images and varying lines of text) are prevalent and represent a multitude of other, specific functions for the alchemical energy that is released."

Pausing one last time, he closed the book.

"..That's a lot to take in. Basically alchemy can manipulate anything needed as long as something is provided in exchange..like bartering."

Kaorin barely took in all of it, but it sounded like her teacher could do some really cool things. she leaned back against him a little, before she had been reading along with him but not out loud. "Wow Mr.Kimura..that's a lot of stuff.."

Ragnarok shifted. "listen kimura. equal exchange can be a deadly thing. it can involve your own energy that you can supply to giving the life of another. some transmutations require a specific equally opposite admission to its use. such as this wood...from the couch...itself is all the stuff you need, PHYSICALLY. to change or mend it YOU have to supply the energy, and be careful. sometimes using your energy to change something can be very dangerous, because sometimes you cant stop the flow...".ragnarok waited...

Kimura nodded at his friends comment. He could tell the side effects were quite dangerous. Picking up and opening the last book, it was about Equivalent Exchange. Except..there was a part of the title he hadn't seen before. It was titled, "Equivalent Exchange: Human Transmutation." Opening the page, it immediately began with information.

"Human Transmutation. Unfortunately, these experiments have given birth to a dark and sinister side of alchemy. Whether out of despair, malice or inquisitive hubris, several alchemists have been known to attempt the application of transmutation to human bodies and souls, in essence, playing god with human lives. But, just as the Law of Equivalent Exchange applies to the transmutation of non-living matter, devastating rebounds can occur in Human Transmutation because human lives and souls are priceless according to the flow of the world.

Resurrection
Attempts to bring deceased human beings back to life are the most common practice to be called Human Transmutation. Using various experimental theories and methods, multiple alchemists have endeavored to resurrect dead loved ones, but such pursuits are always failures, forbidden by the flow of the universe and alchemy itself.

it is determined that resurrective Human Transmutation is impossible because a soul that has left the mortal coil has passed on into the afterlife and can never be called back by human means. The attempt will cause a rebound due to both the inherent lack of any particular substance able to match a human soul in value and the fact that the initiated transmutation is reaching for an unattainable goal. Of the known attempted Human Transmutations, the rebound has been the "taking" of parts of the initiator's body out of the living world and into the void of the flow. In addition, for having trespassed in God's domain with Human Transmutation, the initiating alchemists are essentially called into The Gate of Truth to face God itself. Being pulled through the gate grants alchemists great alchemical and universal knowledge - in exchange for paying a physical toll which usually takes the shape of the body parts "taken" by the rebound - and the ability to perform transmutations without a circle.

Created Humans
The next most referred-to form of Human Transmutation is the concept of an alchemically created human called a "Homunculus". Though largely considered impossible due to the fact that all recorded and reported attempts to make one have been failures.

Soul Binding
Another terrible form of Human Transmutation is the manipulation of human souls. Though appearing on no official records, there have been experiments with Human Transmutation involving the extraction of souls from human bodies and the alchemical binding of said souls to inanimate objects usually by way of a rune drawn in blood on the object itself. Though not all the specifics of soul binding have been made clear, it has been explained that the iron in the blood bonds alchemically with the iron in the object (as most instances of soul binding has used metal armor as a vessel) and the blood itself remains bound to the soul of the person from which it was taken. The Blood Runes themselves differ based on the theories and style of whatever alchemist performed the binding, but the three different Blood Runes that have been revealed depict a spark or flame (presumably signifying a soul) hemmed in by other symbols in a blood-drawn Transmutation Circle that suggests a soul trapped within a container. In essence, these souls exist in the mortal plane without their bodies, are able to manipulate the objects to which they are bound and communicate verbally with beings around them but, of course, there are caveats. Despite the fact that these souls cannot feel pain or die by conventional means since the "bodies" they now inhabit are not mortal, the act of binding two such different things together is only temporary, as the soul and vessel will eventually reject each other and separate.

Though the manipulated soul is independent of its original body, the issues regarding the storage of knowledge and memory suggest that, for a soul binding to remain intact, the original body must remain alive somewhere. This creates another issue, as the soul and its original body will be inexorably drawn to one another.

Human Chimera

Chimeric Alchemy is a branch of bio-alchemy that seeks to alchemically "marry" two dissimilar life forms into a new creature, but even though this science skirts the line of playing God, the prohibition of Human Transmutation forbids alchemists from incorporating human beings into the practice of chimera production. However, there are alchemists who flout this decree and step across the threshold into monstrous experimentation. Shou Tucker, the Sewing-Life Alchemist, was the first recorded alchemist to successfully create a Human Chimera, passing his crime off as a full-animal chimera capable of human speech until his second attempt was exposed to the military."

Kimura could barely take it all in himself, he doubted Ragnarko or Kaorin would get any of it. ..Human transmutation. It was said here to be impossible. But one thing hit him. Being pulled into the gate allowed alchemy to be used without circles.. That was a strong benefit. But he could never imagine doing any of the things in this book.
He didn't comment.

kaorin still didnt get it. there seemed to be a lot of bad stuff though, thats what she got out of hearing things about a body being taken away. she leaned back into her teachers chest a little more, resting her head on him and looking down at the book which he finished reading
